Little Jayden Sink decided that she was tired of seeing all of the hatred that the Westboro Baptist Church spread throughout her community and country. That’s why she decided to take a stand at their headquarters in Kansas… and she is only 5 years-old.

She set up a pink lemonade at The Equality House, a brightly-painted, rainbow house that is set up directly across from Westboro’s compound. After Jayden learned that Westboro wanted to spread hatred, she decided she would work to spread peace.

She just wanted to stop Westboro’s hate with something good.

Her stand brought waves upon waves of cars; she was raising hundreds of dollars. At one point the Westboro people tried to squash the little girl’s dreams. No matter what they tried, she couldn’t be stopped. Every dollar that Jayden raised went to Planting Peace, an organization dedicated to promoting a more peaceful world for us to live in.

“Jayden represents the natural humanity we are born with,” Davis Hammet, Director of Operations at Planting Peace, added. “We come into this world compassionate, caring beings and only become hateful if we are taught to be.”

We could all learn a thing or two from Jayden.
