Even if analyzing art isn’t a passion of yours, it’s difficult not to enjoy this art by Valerie Hegarty. She creates that which is being destroyed, and it is absolutely beautiful. The “decaying paintings” she constructs can speak to almost anyone (even if you’re not sure what they are saying exactly).

The juxtaposition of natural imagery (the tree branches) and traditional art pieces is stunning. It’s difficult to know what to say about these pieces other than this: WOW.

It’s difficult not to have an almost instantaneous reaction to her art.

Because this is pretty mind-blowing.

Beautiful, yet hideous.
