In the middle of Queens in New York City, a warehouse building stands empty. It was formerly used by Macy’s, but now it’s abandoned. Movie location scout Nick Carr came across it in his line of work during a search for office space. Everything seemed normal, until he got to the back of the building.
There was an elevator in the back corner. It seemed ordinary and unassuming… until the door opened.
A passer by might not think this elevator is special.
But once it opens…
There is a mystical world inside.
It is reminiscent of a creation by Tim Burton.
The dark, otherworldly colors and spirals are hypnotic.
This building must have been formerly used by more artsy clientele.
And this is what’s left of its former owners.
The avant-garde elevator is a hidden wonder in NYC.
The vintage metal and wood details are intoxicating and beautiful.
